Slipstreaming XP w/ nlite + RyanVM Update Pack ???

I am looking at slipstreaming an XP install with SP2 (starting with my pre-sp1 Win XP pro CD), to get past the partition/disk size limitations created by my original install with XP (127G limit) and then updating to SP2...

Any recommendations using nLite and/or using the RyanVM update pack (to get all the post SP2 updates in a single package) ?

nLite

RyanVM's MSFN Files Page

Anyone using either of these ? Or someting similar (integrator, patch pack/list) ? Or should I do someting simpler (just slipstream XP2 into a new install CD, re-format my boot disk, install and spend the evening with Microsoft) ???

In case anyone is interested here is a nLite Article

Also found this list of windows patchespatches.

I've used nLite quite a bit. I prefer RIS (since I can then automate _everything_ via GPOs and WSUS) but nLite works well for a simple, straight from CD install.

I agree. nLite will do what you want. Very simple integration of SP2 and post SP2 updates using the RyanVM package. Just point & click for easy installation.
I've tested nLite sice its earlier versions & it's been pretty solid.

Yep, nlite works great, and you can add your CD key to the install so you never have to type it again.

i am running retail XP with service pack 1 integrated and then updated with nlite to SP2 integrated and ryans pack with no trouble at all. nlite is excellent and is free to boot.
