Slipstreaming Vista SP2 onto Vista SP1 DVD

Hi,

Anyone know a good guide or tool to slipstream the latest SP2 for Vista onto an existing Vista SP1 DVD?

vLite 1.2 won't do it apparently.

Thanks!

I wonder if someone has uploaded Vista w/ SP2 to a torrent yet?

Back when SP1 hit, I got Vista 32-bit and 64-bit ISO's - the full version of Vista 32/64 bit with SP1 already in it, right from MS - that someone had put up torrents for.

I realize they can be not legit, however the hash's were confirmed by multiple sources as being legit.

Seems to me, while taking a while, that'd be the best way to get them. That way, you've got it as MS ships it...can't do much better than that.

I think that's what I'll be looking for this time too....

Oh hell yes.

If there is some place to just download the thing that would be GREAT!

After reading the description I now know why I don't slipstream.

But still, I wonder why people get on the forums and they're like "why don't you just slipstream it?" Because it would melt my brain is what it looks like to me. I guess I'm just not as computer savvy as I thought. lol They always say it like it is an easy 2-button process but everything I've ever read has been a detailed multi-process pain in the ass.

Microsoft pulled the offer

Very old news like hours.

Nothing can stop them from just deactivating all the accounts though. There has been something posted about it already. Seem they are going to fix it.

Like I expected it has now happened. All download links and keys are now grayed out. They didn't even have windows 2000 anyway which sucked royally.

I just downloaded the ISO file for Vista Ultimate X86 with SP2 slipstreamed in. (My TechNet supbscription, not free. ) 🙂
