Slipstreaming Question

When slipstreaming a service pack into an OS, is there any way to also incorporate a folder of drivers/utilities into the OS as well?
For example just have a folder of driver/utilities show up after then install in the C: directory to be hanfy for install.
I don't actually want them installed, just in an easy accessable place.

But - be careful - Microsoft is about to release SP2, and they specifically state that SP2 will not install on a slip-streamed version of XP w/SP1.

I may be wrong, but I think what microsoft said is that you cannot slipstream sp2, and after all once the os is installed xp doesn't care how it was done as long as its a legal copy Also check the above site I recommended, a few days ago some people were working on a slipstream for sp2r2

If you are saying you can't update to SP2 from a machine that was installed from a slipstreamed XPSP1 install, that's not correct; it works great.

You can slipstream SP2 flawlessly. It's the -integrate:<path> switch.

ANyone been able to successfully slipstream a win2k sp and OS on an XP machine? I mean just use an XP machine to copy all the files over to and intergrate the serviepack, burn, etc?

I was about half way through and I saw a note that said it had to be done on a win2k machine or errors would result. I didn't know if it meant errors during the making of the cd or during the install. I guess I could start over on my other pc. Just wanted to see if it was accurate.

Sure - works fine. Integrate the XP install files, and then install from the integrated source. It will update your install of 2000 to XP SP1.

It isn't. You can integrate SP4 into Windows 2000 flat media without any issues on any 32 bit Windows OS.
