Slipstreamed Dell OEM XP Pro with SP3 = Enter product key???

I never had to enter one before, and by entering the one on the laptop says invalid. What did I do wrong during the slipstream?

I used nlite to slipstream, add sp3, and make a bootable iso and burned it.

For some reason I vaguely recall that there was an issue with slipstreaming XP SP3 which caused the product key to be considered invalid. I don't really use XP much anymore, so I don't recall if Microsoft ever actually fixed the problem.

Plus, you are slipstreaming an OEM XP CD - I recall that slipstreaming them was sometimes hit-n-miss in the past even with tools like nLite and Autostreamer. You might just try it again and see if it works.

What OS were you running nLite on to create the ISO? It is most likely to work if you slipstream SP3 on a machine running XP as the OS.

Are you using the latest version of nlite?
nlite has problems with slipstreaming SP3 in Vista and Win 7.
