SLIPKNOT - Columbus, Ohio

edro

Lifer
This was my first metal concert where I was on the floor and I was ~2-3 people back from the front the whole time. It was fvcking crazy! I don't have a voice now, so it's a good thing I am typing. That's gotta be the best concert I have been to.

w000t for me!

Oh and if you don't like Slipknot, it's too hard for you... stick to your Kenny Chesney!

slipknot isn't hard at all.

Say what you want about them, but you can't deny they have solid beats that are easy to mosh to.

Bands like Meshuggah and some of the other "harder" groups aren't as mosh friendly because of funky timings that you just can't get into a rythm of.

Unfortunately for Slipknot, that's because Meshuggah is talented and 9 guys wearing face paint where 5 of them just stand around are not.

Hell yeah! They had 3 drummers tonight! I love their hard beats. Metal is crap without some good bass.

Maybe you'd like rap better then. Metal is not about bass that will shake your bowels and make you have to poop.

Ok... but that's not metal... it's overproduced, manufactured, corporate noise.

nice which concert did you go to?

with the amount of people onstage and the amount of people in the crowd it's difficult to tell if you're in the band at any given time.

Slipknot used to be semi-cool until their guitarist quit drugs and found Jesus. He left the band and is now on a crusade to Spread The Good Word. What the fck ever.

Hard drugs, booze, being a slimeball of a human being....and then....wait....I think I realize that I'll be dead in a year unless I change my ways...Jesus?

YEAH. Jesus! The perfect scapegoat. I'm born again!!!

that was Korn dude

Right on man. Say what you want about Slipknot, but they put on one of the most entertaining concerts out there. Plus Joey's a pretty damn good drummer and is one of the more redeeming members of the band.

who's knocking Kenny Chesney- "She thinks my tractors sexy" is an awesome song...i still cant stop laughing everytime i hear it 🙂

Woot cool for you man!!!Me i went to their concert here in Montreal. They played with Unearth and Killswitch Engage. It was totally awesome except for the crappy sound.

how long were shadows fall, lamb of god, and the opener's sets? hope all that remains gets atleast a half hour when i see this show next week.

I've seen them twice now, both times I've posted pics about them, Edro I'm sure you remember.

It was the best show I've ever seen, they are incredible.

And so far any of the bashing towards the band I've seen here has been unjustified or just plain wrong. Don't like them, that's fine. It's some of the most aggressive music you will ever hear.

 w0000 w0000! Someone finally has my back! And yes, ~half of my MP3 player is Slipknot music, for when I workout. Slipknot is great for getting pumped up. I kinda wish I had a camera, but the mosh was too crazy and I would have been paranoid about losing it.

Yeah I know what you mean, it gets pretty ridiculous. I brought my crappy fujifilm 2600 with me, and luckily I didn't lose it. I did lose my sweater and hat, though I found them on the floor later, completely trampled on.

Glad you had a good time!
