I liked my Slingbox, didn't use it as much as I expected, but it was nice to be able to quietly watch some tv on my PC without disturbing the rest of the family, set stuff to record on the DVR, etc. without turning on the main AV system etc.

Then a short time after the 1 year warranty it stopped working. Apparently a lot of them did, and out of warranty your basically screwed, might as well buy a new one, or better yet buy an alternate product. I don't think I would buy a refurb from them period.
