I am thinking about getting a slingbox for while i am away at college, but have a few questions first.

will the school have any problem with this? im sure the bandwidth usage is hefty. is it possible the port, whatever it is, might be blocked?

2nd, my parents and sister will still be using the cable connection at home. Will using the slingbox slowdown their connection at all? or will it not matter because i will only be uploading from the connection and not downloading anything.

aside from that, any of you girls / guys have a slingbox? comments? anything i should know before getting one.
 
thats to both questions? im thinking i should email someone at the school to make sure. what details should i provide. is there a certain port it works through or what
