Any of you guys use one? Looks like I'll be traveling to Japan for work again in a month or two and I really don't want to be without TV/DVR during football/prime television series season. Anyone have experience using it from an overseas hotel? Thoughts?

**maybe this should go in a/v & home theater... not really sure... but hey, there are slingbox phone apps so maybe it fits here as well. ;) **

I haven't used it overseas at all but don't see that as a problem as it uses a regular internet connection. There will probably just be more lag.

Which type do you use and do you have it hooked up straight into your router? Just wondering because it looks like I'm going to end up needing to either hook it up via wireless bridge or try using those slingbox bridges that connect into your wall outlets and use electrical wiring to run the signal. Not too sure how well that latter solution works to be honest.

I have the SOLO and my router is close to my tv so I connect it straight into it. I haven't used those other connections so I can't comment on those.
