You connect it to you home stereo receiver with RCA jacks, then you conect it to your PC with CAT5 so it can read ALL your songs. It have a screen showing the songs playing, and a remote control to fast forward, skip songs, etc... pretty sweet.

Anyone have one?

Love it?

Hate it?

Anything better or newer?

I think I might get this for my Christmas for our house.
Any other ideas?

Sure, SlimP3 is a brand name, but it does clearly explain my end goal.

Any item doing this would be cool.

I agree, with all the people griping about no lossless support you'd think this thread would be more popular.

Isn't FLAC lossless?

Yeah, that's why I'm surprised this thread isn't popular - it supports lossless so people should be excited.
I guess people were just using lossless as an excuse not to buy an iPod.

neat toy but a little to pricy when I can just connect to my HTPC using VNC to make a play list and let it play out my stereo in my living room.

Although it would be nice to not have to go to my bedroom PC everytime and just control it right from this device.

I use monkey's audio. So while it's great it supports a lossless format, I don't want to be troubled with converting all my ape files to flac.

My xbox does all of that, plus plays games, dvd's and movies from the network.

Nice to see FLAC support, but I have the parts for my HTPC already, just need the time & energy to put them together.
