Slimline Optical Drive Eject Relocation

Well. I am trying to build a new computer, but, I want to have a Slimline DVD Burner in there with a different bezel than what is currently on there. My only problem is that with the new bezel, I don't have access to the eject button. So, I would like to find out where I can solder so that I can have my eject button somewhere else on the case. I know there's a way of doing this just I am unsure as to what and how. Would anyone know where I might have to solder this switch to? or am I going to have to sit there and count pins?

The drive I have is a Samsung SN-S082h and I have a third-party IDE converter for the change of ports.

If anyone can help me be even pointing me in the right direction that would be greatly appreciated.

well i would do that.... but.... i'm building my new computer inside of the Xbox 360 case (i know i failed to mention that in first post) and i would like to use the eject button that came with the system and not have to worry about having the computer completely on in order to open it especially if i just forget a disc in there... thanks for the idea tho

You'll have to disassemble the the drive and see how it mounts. I've done things like this before and it's very simple once you learn how to relocate parts. Get some small wire (24-28AWG will be fine), take the button out and remount it where you want it, then solder new wire in between the drive's wires and your new button. Voila, it's just like adding an extension cord to a power button.

so.... would it be possible to attach the wire closer to the connecting port so that i don't have to worry about the extra wire dangling from the tray everytime i open it?? i don't want some ugly wire dangling everytime i open my drive.
