I haven't been able to find any hard info regarding this, but on the radio this morning they were saying that many PC/Video games were being cancelled and pulled because of the WTC disaster.

I was particularly curious because I was looking forward to the new Rainbow 6 game and since that's predominantly about terrorists, I figured that an easy target.

Anyone know anything about this?

Who specifically was saying this? What Radio Program?

Personally at this point, what games get affected is the furthest thing from my mind.

I heard it on a few local Boston radio stations. This was a followup story to the new Arnold movie getting shelved, the Tim allen movie getting bumped and the Michael Douglas terrorist flick.

Honestly, I feel terrible too, but life goes on...If I hear the phrase "return to normalcy" once more I'm going to go nuts. The only thing normal right now is that everyone still has to go to work and there is a functioning government. None of the entertainment outlets to take people's minds off of the event seem to be functioning properly.

Voodooextreme.com had something yesterday about some game
getting cancelled/or reworked b/c of the wtc.

Also, the movie Spiderman - due to be released next summer - is goiing to be reworked
b/c of the wtc scenes. The trailer was already pulled. If you can find it, watch it.

the counterstike website (counter-strike.net) was 'offline' due to the WTC inciddent. It does seem a bit on the OT side, but i suppose that CS is all obout terrorists. Just have to wait i spose.

Yup, i heard about this too. Movies regarding terrorists, killing mass ppl through bombings and stuff, and anything of that nature is under extreme scrutiny and will be shelved or moved if deemed necessary. At least that's my undersatnding from the news :D

I have a feeling it's going to be hard getting the sides to be even in UT Tactical Ops for a while.

As far as new games, I would think that any game that allows the player to kill terrorists should be welcomed not shelved.
