Slightly OT: Great Experience with Vantec Customer Service

I purchased a Vantec Aeroflow heatsink with the TMD fan for my Pentium 4 recently. After re-mounting the heatsink several times (I was having the common high temp. readings on my ABIT BH-7), the retention clip broke when I tried to bend it to apply more mounting pressure.

Since I lost the original receipt, I decided to contact Vantec directly. I spoke with Mr. Colman Wong, who is an account manager with Vantec. I explained what happened, and he offered to ship me a new retention clip, free of charge!!

In this day and age, it is refreshing to have a pleasent experience with a company, instead of getting the usual run-around.

Anyhow, I don't work for Vantec, just want to let you know that in addition to their quality products, they also care about us "computer geeks!!!":D
