Slightly ironic short tale

Welp, I worked at Blockbuster for about a full year up until a month and a half ago, when I found what seemed to be a much better job, so I left the company. The new job didn't pan out well at all, so I set out to get my old job at blockbuster back. I talked to my store manager and he said he would gladly re-hire me.

Yesterday I came in to do all the hiring paperwork over again, set up my W2 taxes, and all that jazz. Since it had been over 30 days (37 to be exact) since I had last worked there, I need to "re-apply" so they could run a background check again before I could be officially rehired.

So, I hop onto their little application machine, fill it out, and report back to my manager. He told me that should be pretty much everything, and to have me come in tomorrow morning (which is today) to work. I do so, and upon getting in, he tells me that we have a slight problem...

The electronic application came back and said I didn't meet the minimum requirements to work at Blockbuster. lol. Needless to say, he had to send me home for now and is trying to contact someone in district to try to figure out what's going on. I just found this fairly amusing and kind of ironic.

:)

I must have robbed a bank or something in my sleep during the one month I wasn't working there.

:D
