Slightly better deal on 128MB PC133 SDRAM at McGlen vs. Access Micro

KBtrade

mcglen.com which belongs to the same company as Access Micro has the same 128MB PC133 SDRAM for $88 or 64MB for $44, shipping is only $4.95 per order, not $9.95 per stick like Access Micro.

Thanks tck for finding this deal 🙂

What exactly is zeus componoents ram...even though its probably a generic POS this would go great with the 15 off coupon...128 pc133 for 78 shipped.

The coupons are givin out to those that bought from them before or are listed on the mailing list. I've gotten two coupons before. Generally they are tailored for one time use per e-mail.

One question I have is that there seems to be Zeus RAM in
128MB and in 256MB but the 256 is limited to AMD and VIA
chipsets. I hope the 128MB isn't limited as well.

I wonder why this RAM is so cheap? I mean 128MB sticks
over at Mushkin are $180+

the customer support guy is like "We have 3 companies, mc glen, techsumer(sp) and accessmicro. We vary the rates and prices on each to market separate groups of people. If you want the better price, well just cancel your order and go to mcglen".

hehe

Probably not much help, but I have (2)Zeus 128 meg sticks(PC100) in my rig right now. Only had them for the last 2 weeks. No problems yet. Ordered from McGlen for $90.00 apiece plus $4.95 shipping. Got them in 2 days.
PIII700@700
Abit BF6
256 Zeus PC100
Elsa Geforce 2 GTS
CL X-Gamer
Acer 50X
Plexwriter 12/10/32A
WD 15.0/Promise66

I have bought a few sticks of SDRAM from Access Micro. The first one was faulty, so I emailed them and got an RMA within a couple of hours. This is the fastest RMA of all time. The other six or seven pieces all worked fine.

Hay! guy over at fatwallet got one of these chips

CHEAP LD MEMORY is what he got.

PC133WAB

I have a stick sitting here.

on p3bf.
boots at PC-125 setting.
dead at PC-143 setting (7ns)

🙁

I got it at accessmicro and I have socket7 via chipset athlon 750Mhz, seems to work ok, it is a generic brand pluss or something like that, 133Mhz 64 MB. I got it the next day.

Posted in another thread, but fits here too..

Well, I just used Sandra to identify one of the two sticks my dad bought.. the crap is pc100, rated cas3 @ 100. This is a BAD deal.

I ran SiSoft Sandra and it reports my memory as:

Hyundai Electronics 71X651601TH10P
128MB 8x(16Mx8) SDRAM PC100-322-622
(CL3 upto 100MHZ)(CL2 upto 83MHZ)

Now as I understand it, this tells me that the it's actually PC100 RAM. How do I tell if it's actually PC133 RAM so I can determine if I was ripped off or not?

My ABIT KT7-RAID is currently set to HOST CLK which means the memory is running at PC100. When I changed it to HOST CLK+PCI CLK, it still reported as above. Did we get sold PC100 RAM advertised as PC133?
