System info:
2 comps (A and B) both running xp home
linksys router
sbc dsl
software for router on comp B
comp A (mine) just built and set up connects to internet after ~30 sec delay
comp C (previous comp that was replaced by comp A) had no problems ie. connected to internet on startup immediately.
I've got a neo2 platinum mobo that has two ethernets. My desktop tray shows 2 network connections, one working, one x-ed out. (?)
When I set up the new comp I sort of haphazardly plugged in the connection numbers that were used on my old comp, but it works fine except for the delay.
This is an area of computing where I am really weak. So if you give advice please keep that in mind. And thanks for reading.
