I'm looking for recommendations for slideshow software where I can do a photo slideshow, set to music, and burn it to a DVD. I've got Nero, and it looks like that has a very simple utility to do it, but is there something that lets you pan and zoom pictures in, etc. I guess I just don't know what all's out there, and what's good, etc. Thanks for any advice!

Windows XP with 128 megs of ram should generate a fine slideshow... Seriously though I imagine powerpoint should beable do it.

But does it have the extra effects? It seems like some of them don't have things where you are zoomed in, and then the picture sort of zooms out sort of thing. And will Powerpoint make a DVD that plays in a regular dvd player (not a PC....it has to run in a standalone player)?

Photoshow Gold - google it.

It does what you want.

You can also use Photostory 3 and buy from microsoft an extra 19$ burning pack (or just use your own authoring software if so inclined and skilled).

I have used this now for over a year - done several major slide shows. It is easy to use - very intuitive, and aloows excellent music background files (MP3 rocks) - multiple files. Works with any burnware.
