I have a Hi Def 65 in Mits CRT Rear Projection which is capable of 1920 by 1080 resolution. I have thousands of digital photos at 2272 by 1704. My Video Card is an ASUS v9560/td with 2048 X 1536 X 75Hz max resolution. The video card and the TV have DVI output and input respectively. IF I buy a DVI-d cable can I expect to see my photos in all their resolution, or at least, close to Hi def? Right now I'm watching them on S-Video which, as I understand it, only does 480i. What refresh rate should I use?

With the DVI cable you will want to send 1920x1080@30hz to your TV. So, no you won't see the photos in all their resolution like that obviously; but yeah, it will look tons better than S-video.
