I saw a link to a nice slideshow on how CPU's are made on the internal Intel website this morning and thought that I'd pass it along.

If you've ever wondered about the steps to making a CPU, this foilset is pretty thorough.

A lot goes unexplained between every step. They compressed a 300-500 step process down to 20 some odd steps.

If you are familiar with process integration then basically the file highlights the "loops" in integration. And honestly that's probably already more than enough info for six-sigma of the population.
