Jumped the shark after that.

 
Seasons 1 and 2 were awesome, 3 and 4 weren't as good but the new girl was hot and made up for it. Season 5 was a complete waste! They never intended to do a 5 season which meant the actors were no longer under contract. Jerry O'Connell told them the only way he would come back was if he were to produce the show, but sci fi said no and he said fine I'm leaving. So they said fine if you leave we'll fire your brother. Well he left so both him and his brother were off the show. So now they lost the main character and his brother (both on the show and in real life) and well when you kill off the main character on a show the show dies too. Basically Scifi just wanted to suck up the last bit of money they could and they wouldn't even provide them with the proper funding to make the ending the writers wanted so they just said screw it and made the last episode a clif-hanger.
