Well, I picked up an Earthwatts not long ago as I thought 80+ might be a good deal, but now I'm struck with the temptation to find a second 9600GT (I just got World in Conflict, you see). I'm wondering if the EA500D could even handle two GPU's in SLI? I don't care to take any risk and I also don't care to bring back my Earthwatts (though I realize they have more powerful PSU's in the EW line). Additionally, what kind of actual power consumption should I expect from running two cards at once?

Thanks for your time!

9600 gt is very low power draw. ea 500 is fine for that in just about any instance. If you're running a very highly oc'd q6600 (3.6+) then you'll be putting quite a bit of stress on the psu, but even then you'd probably be ok.

Only 297, eh? That's interesting. Thanks for the advice, guys; maybe I'll look into a second. :)
