SLI with 2 different video cards?

Alright so currently i have a 7600 GT from XFX but tiger direct has a great deal on the same card made by EVGA... same model 7600 GT... Can i run both of these cards in SLI mode together or do they have to be exact same model

As well are there any Micro ATX boards that have SLI?

I believe that with the newer NVIDIA drivers the cards just have to be the same model and speed (and probably the same amount of memory on each). AFAIK they no longer have to be exact matching cards.

As far as I know, if there's any difference in cards the faster card will disable something to match the slower one. Eg. 256MB and 512MB cards SLi'd, the 512 card just won't use 256MB. I'd recommend making sure they're both set to the same clock speeds, though it may do that automatically. Other than that, seems like it should work perfectly.

I think you can use any two cards with the same chipset, and as the other guys said, the faster one will be slowed down if necessary. Make sure you have recent nVidia drivers though.

I think there's detailed info somewhere at slizone.com

thanks guys i apreciate the help...turns out i found my exact video card for an extra 10 bucks and im gonna go for that since they match and it comes stock overclocked 200 mhz which is quite nice. By the way any info in a micro atx SLI board?
