Should work, but I'm pretty sure the memory clock from the Palit will be reduced to 1900mhz, because that's the memory clock from the MSI card.

Interesting. Do you think that would matter much? Enought to justify the $50 diff between the cards (after MIR)? I would have bought two cheaper cards, but I wanted the Palit for the HDMI connection.

No, I'd buy the MSI card, 100mhz on the memory speed is very little in the grand scheme of things, for 50$ less I'd definately grab the MSI card.

From what I know both videocards can have different clocks in SLI.

They can ? Maybe they can ... I just realized I, perhaps incorrectly, assumed they couldn't, because if you have 2 videocards with different amounts of vram, the videocard with the most vram will only use as much as the videocard with the least amount. Doesn't matter though, they can definately be used in SLI, same clockspeeds or not. And the difference is minimal.

Perhaps someone else can confirm what happens with 2 differently clocked cards in SLI ?
