SLI / Surround automatic control?

So ever since setting up a Surround & SLI rig, I've been finding out that compatibility and performance is highly variable - and that some titles actually runs slower with SLI. But on the other hand, there are enough that scale and enough that benefit from Surround to keep the setups around.

I'd like to consolidate my existing gaming rigs into two at the most, and they'll have to be Surround + SLI. So I'm wondering if there's an easy way to kick OFF Surround and/or SLI with certain games automatically when I launch them, and then re-enable them when exiting.
