I currently have an evga 8800GTX in my machine. I have an extra 320MB 8800 GTS that I still haven't opened and was wondering if I could run that in an sli with the GTX? Or does it have to be a GTX matched with a GTX?

damnit! aren't you able to do that with crossfire though? guess i may have to sell the GTS and grab another GTX for myself. 🙁

I'm pretty sure you can only match models with different clockspeeds and maybe memory quantities. I don't think you can mix cards with different amounts of functional units, especially if they are different chips.
