I know SLI requires the same GPU and amount of memory to work.
But would it be possible to SLI one of the GPU cards on a GX2 with a 7950GT?
One of the cards on a GX2 has the same memory and GPU as a GT, so...
it probably won't but just checking.

You need 2 cards that are the same such as my 2 512MB BFG GeForce 7950GTs.

Sell your GeForce 7950GX2, then get another 7950GT and pocket the rest and you'll be SLIing and it'll be faster, too.

There isn't a game out there that 2 512MB 7950GTs won't play at 1600x1200 with everything turned on to the max.:)

i think i'll just throw the GX2 into another PC and get a second GT as stated by ScrewFace. I don't game but i do a lot of 3D rendering and currently my computer likes to run around 3-10 FPS when I'm doing large complex projects and it really is annoying. thanks guys.
