Ok...
1.) so let say for example you are running two Nvidia 6800's in this new ASUS mobo, which card does he viedo line out come from. I am assuming that one card would be used to send the video signal, thus one card is a slave to the other. Or, do you somehow have to merge the two signals somehow? I hope this makes sense.

2.) Also, what about power supply. Will there need to be a special power supply to run both cards at the same time, because don't GPUs need a electrical supply for best performance?

Excuse me if these questions are stupid, but I'm new to all this.

1. I belive that the first slot is the one that provides the signal. Whichever that one is.

2. I'm pretty sure PCi-e provides power through the slot, rather than with an extra jack. Not positive.

PCI-E video cards have a special 6 pin power plug, I believe. I have seen folks around here searching for them because their card did not come with it. One person ruined their card by running it without plugging it in.

Yes, you are going to need a good PS to supply 2 of the top end vid cards.

Hmmmm...if you Google PCI-E power connector you'll get lots of confusing info.

I'm guessing that the high end cards will need some sort of connector. Most likely the 6 pin deal, but possibly the regular molex. Some new power supplies may have one of the 6 pin connectors.

The low end cards will probably get by without the extra power.

Just like AGP, huh? :D
