I have a BFG 7800GT video card and I was thinking about buying a BFG 7900GT. I have a couple of questions.

(1) Can I run a 7800GT and 7900GT in SLI?

(2) If I cannot, would I do better buying another 7800GT and use SLI or wait and buy a G80 card?

Thanks!

1. No you cannot. You can only run the same kind of video card with another (i.e. 7900GT with 7900GT, 7900GTX with 7900GTX (different venders now supported though))

2.) is there anything wrong with a single 7800GT (it's still pretty fast)?

Unless you have a display that can go higher than 1600x1200, I don't see a reason to upgrade your card until G80. I don't think I will be either unless I get the one out of a new rig for the family (a 6600GT will be plenty for them, but if I can pick up a 7900GS for a $150 and tie that into the rig I will).

A 7800GT will last you quite awhile til the new cards come rollin' in. No need for SLI.
