System in sig.
One of my GTX's managed to get burnt somehow, started artifacting/flickering after 2 weeks of usage. I am now in the process of RMAing the faulty card.
Meanwhile, I want to know if my PSU is well suited to hold this system.
Not mentioned in my sig are the 7x120mm cooling fans on the case.
So, how power hungry is a SLI system?

you are so set for life. The 7900gtx's are not huge power consuming cards. Sweet rig!:D

So you have 620W Enermax?

I'm running my 7900GT's at GTX speeds on a 600W Seasonic. The 7900GTX's are not really that power hungry. Your fine.

Kickass gaming rig though.

Thanks for your replies and I'm glad you like my config. With Conroe coming, my rig will not seem so good though. I'm happy with it though and will hold on to it for some while.
I was asking about the PSU and SLI because I suspected that the card was not bad and perhaps the PSU couldn't feed it enough amps.
You guys know a test/benchmark that keeps the processor load low but stresses the video cards? Cause when the new card comes, I want to leave them running such test for 12-16 hours to see if the cards work well.

I have the exact same power supply (Enermax Liberty 620W) with two 7900 GTX's in SLI and have had no problems at all.

you have almost the same computer as me. check it in my signature.

so yea, dont worry about a thing. In all honesty, I think that the Enermax can even handle quad SLI. Maybe it will heat up a bit, but heck this powersupply runs COLD. Even after I gamed for 3 hours, I touch it and its cool to the touch. I think the chassis of it is actually cooler then room temperature.
