Hey im having problems with my new computer. It has an amd athlonf 64 fx-55 processor a raptor hard drive

a barracuda hard drive two asus 6800's PCI-E and an audigy 2zs platinum the new Asus SLI motherboard

and 2 gigs of ram. With world of warcraft it runs decently at 1920x1440 but the fps fluctuates greatly which i

would not expect with this tye of system, also when i open counter-strike source it seems to be very glitchy

and shaky and there is a green bar in the middle of the screen. It's not the monitor because i have tried

multiple monitors and also World of warcraft seem somewhat pixelated and the store which built my computer

offered the suggestion that maybe the hardware is just too new and i should make a post and see if all of

those programs are compatible with the hardware. Also, i have an ATI hdtv tuner that does not work and i

was wondering if anyone could help me? HELP ME PLEASE.:(

Do you have AA and AF enabled? I've run HL2 at 1920x1440 on my 9800 Pro and Athlon XP 2500+ with very playable framerates at max settings but no AA/AF. I'd think dual 6800 GTs paired with an FX-55 would be able to handle that with ease even with AA and AF enabled.

Have you tried running 3DMark 2001, 2003, and 2005? You might want to run all 3 of those to make sure that your video cards + drivers are configured correctly and performing as expected. Run each benchmark at the default settings, with AA and AF disabled, and then submit the scores to the online result browswer. The Futuremark forums should prove to be very helpful. People post there all the time with this sort of question.

WOW is not configured to utilize SLI, it will run on the cards but it will only use one. I have heard, however, that you can force SLI in any game, just nVidia will only support those that have passed its verification process. As for HL2 I am running at 1600x1200 w/4xAA and 8xAnsio w/all settings on high including reflect ALL and get very smooth gameplay.

Before reformatting, update the BIOS on your motherboard to the latest version. If you've already done that, update your video card drivers to the latest version. Shoot, try the latest beta drivers and see if they fix your problem.

Have you tried removing one graphics card to see if your problem is SLI related? I would recommend removing the Nvidia drivers and one card, then reinstalling the drivers. Do your tests and let us know what happens.
