SLI problem with newly built desktop

The system specs:
ASUS P5N32-E SLI mobo
4 x 1GB Corsair XMS DDR2 PC800 ram
Intel Core 2 Duo e6750
2 x EVGA GeForce 8800GTS 640MB
Vista 64-bit Home Premium

I just built this system today and attempted to install Vista. I got a little ways into the installation and it seemed to be hanging, so I did a hard reset. Upon booting up again, I got no display whatsoever. No POST messages or anything, just a "No signal" message from my monitor. I reset the CMOS, but to do so I had to remove one of the GPUs. I left it out and attempted to boot and I had a display again.

I finally get Vista installed after a few BSODs (could be part of the problem but I don't know), and now everytime I attempt to add the second GPU back in I get the same "No signal" messages. I've since installed the newest NVIDIA drivers as well as the newest BIOS, yet still no luck. I'm going to switch the two GPUs after posting to see if it could be a faulty second GPU, but I doubt this since it initially worked the first time I tried to install Vista. Anybody have suggestions? This is the first time I've attempted an SLI setup, so any words of wisdom would be most appreciated. Thanks.

What power supply are you using?

Check to make sure the SLI bridge is connected securely and both cards are firmly seated. If that doesnt work try each card on its own to make sure they are good. If thats a no go you may want to try another psu

I tried the second GPU by itself and it appears to be shot. Thanks for the replies.
