Hello,
I am building a new system so i decided to purchase a new monitor DELL 2005.
Should i use 6600gt sli or just one card in order to play games like hl2,doom3 etc?? I dont want to spend more than 350$ for a video card. Most of the reviews that i am reading, come up with sli in high resolutions. What do u think??? Do u have any experience with dell 2005 and 6600gt in sli or single mode???
;)

get a non SLI MB and an X800XL, X800XL will perform better and be about the same if not cheaper (talking about the 6600GT SLI) if you spend a bit more the 6800GT is a perfectly good option as well.

Both the X800XL and the 6800GT perform similarly each with their advantage and disadvantage in certain games.

EDIT: sorry thought you were saying that a single 6800GT would trash the X800XL ignore the above post

You're not going to do any of those games with high antialiasing or anisotropic settings but the 6600GT is no slouch. The pricing of the next generation cards is not known at this time.
