SLI on Intel is better than SLI on AMD (perf increase terms)

Here is an article showing the new nVidia chipset for Intel processors.
(Repost from the Motherboard forums)

3D Mark's CPU test shows Intel winning, but when SLI cards are used, it also shows a rather low performance increase for the Intel platform.

The actual gaming tests show than SLI on an Intel platform gives more of a performance improvement than SLI on an AMD platform (possibly due to better implimentation, but who knows?)
It's only 5% at most, but it's still an interesting find.

3D Mark 05 shows Intel winning CPU benches and SLI being less of an improvement than on AMD, while real tests show AMD winning and SLI being more of an improvement on Intel.
3DMark has it backwards.

Yo yo....Intel-4-Eva.

FWIW, the AMD system performs better in every test in this review including SLI, but the percentage increase from single card to SLI is bigger on Intel. WTF does that mean? Who cares?

exactly....

though i might add that this would be a good prospect for intel users to know they they can get larger improvements going SLI (though still slower than AMD)

but the fact they didn't bench at 1600*1200 minimum with full details makes me think twice.

They are testing the CPU... NOT the GPU, maybe thats why.

Having it on low resolution and low quality gives a better score of the impact the CPU has on the game rather than the GPU.
