I have this mobo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...ab=true&Page=9

I'd like to get some opinions to find out if it's worth it for me to go SLI. (You can see my rig in the sig on the bottom)

My concerns are:

1)Will a second card fit? Space is pretty cramped between the two slots.

2)Is this even a "real" SLI board? It seems to me the second slot was really designed for a small, slim card to power a second monitor and nothing else... Although this seems to be NOT so judging from newegg reviews. I saw a couple reviews with people running dual 680s.

3)I do realize the second slot is 8x, but most SLI boards are like that. Those with a faster 2nd slot cost an arm and a leg anyway.

4)Am I better off just getting a faster single card? I think I can get more performance for much cheaper from buying a second 650Ti and running SLI, but I might be wrong...

I am not sure how similar your board is to my Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3P-B3 but mine can handle 2 x HD6870's quite admirably in an x8/x8 configuration.

Looking at your board, it seems to have enough space down there as you'd be using the long blue one at the top and the next long blue slot below it.

Regarding value, I've just dumped my 2 x HD6870's in CrossfireX for a single HD7950 (which you can see has not gone well at the moment, DoA card) so my opinion is skewed towards seeing what you could sell your 560Ti for and how much you'd have to put forward for a single, powerful card then balance it out against the cost of a second 560Ti and the benefits/disadvantages of SLI setups (near 100% scaling, 0% scaling, negative scaling etc).
