I'd read rumors about this, but now it looks like it might be true. Ridiculous? Comments?

I would wager True SLI not dual core... But then again the cost on this machine and the heat it would produce would be horrid.

ummm... i highly doubt it will be true SLI. Im running 2 6800's and believe me, they gobble watts like nothing. Even if running 2 7800go's that thing will probably last 15 min off cord and then whats the point in that? You'd be better off getting a shuttle XPC with SLI since u have to plug it in all the time..

Yeah, but it would still be stupid to market this as a "notebook." "Portable desktop with integrated LCD monitor" is more like what it would be, and I doubt that the market for it would be very large, either, given that basically only gamers who are willing to give up performance and usability in exchage for slightly better portability at an excessive cost are going to be interested in getting one.

Quite a few people I know always leave their laptops in place and plugged in, and just like how portable they are when they need to throw it in a truck and go home.

Yeah, you have that "portable power" only when it's off. Because I'm srue the battery won't last long enough for you to travel any more than a short distance. And it's doubtful that you'll be able to finish a 15 minute deathmatch on battery power.
