When you have SLI, you get total 4 DVI ports (2 from each card), and say, you have 2 LCDs. Which ports are most desirable to use out of the 4 when you connect the 2 monitors? Both ports from the master card, or one port each from different cards?
forgive my ignorance, since i do not posess an SLI setup. however, i believe i read before that the outputs on the 2nd card are disabled in SLI. wouldn't that necessitate that you connect both monitors to the primary card?
I should have been more specific. The 81.85 driver lets you enable/disable SLI on-the-fly, i.e. without reboot. But somewhere along the line I've read that it doesn't work 100% all the time. So the question is more like "When you have 2 video cards (2 ports each) and 2 LCDs, what's the best way to connect them while avoiding conflicts with SLI?"
