does sli work in win xp? I heard somewhere you need vista.

I want to use 750i & 8800 series cards in winxp & dx9 with the newest nvidia drivers for SLI. Is this possible?

Jared.. I used to run 2 7900's in sli then moved to 2 7950's (gx2) I think was what they were called the ones with 2 gpu's.. yes sli works with XP. As does Quad SLI.

Maybe because he has it and doesn't want to spend the money on vista or do beta testing with win7.

Or maybe he could answer the question himself ;)

LOL

I tend to agree.

Vista these days is the way to go if you have the system to run it. More frequent driver updates, much better driver support for the 64 bit version.

(and it's not like the old days where "Aaaiiieee! Nothing works in teh Vista!")

I'd only stick with XP if you have legacy hardware or software that requires it personally.

IMHO...no sense switching to Vista now with 7 on the horizon, unless you're in a hurry for Tri/Quad SLI.
