SLI help

i just installed a second video card tonight to run SLI on this machine and have had a few issues.
let me start by saying i flipped the card on the mobo, (asus a8n sli deluxe), to read "dual video cards", i have put the bios setting to sli, turned the sli setting on in the video settings, made sure i have the current nvidia driver 9.1.3.1, made sure to plug in the 4 pin atx power cable into the EZ Plug, and of course there is power to both cards.

now, the issues im having are this. i started to play some bf2, turned the video settings up to high and joined a game. noticed some video lag, exited game and lowered settings. upon re-entering a server and loading the game crashed to desktop. i right clicked desktop went to properties->settings->advanced->GeForce 6800 GT tab and as soon as i clicked that last tab the machine rebooted. so i let it reboot. double checked my bios, tried to go to that tab again and again it rebooted. so this is where i am at now. as you can see in my sig i have ample power. the mobo supports it. i am at a loss here.

any ideas?

BF2 is sensitive to OCing, now that u have more "Stuff" it might cause instabilities because theres more load on the equipment with the added Gcard.

BF2 = Buggy game to start. check ur memory timings. Turn off SLI broadcast aperture.

memory timings are stock. i havent oc'd anything other than the vidcards, which came that way.

im going to try reinstalling the video driver, then reinstalling the game. i read somewhere that games using opengl or directx may need a reinstall.

ok, driver reinstalled. when i go to the advanced settings and go to the GeForce 6800 GT tab and enable SLI is when the ****** hits the fan.
i can exit out of there but any time i try to go back to that settings tab it reboots.
i have uninstalled and reinstalled (in safe mode of course) the driver 3 times and all 3 times the same result.

anyone got any ideas on this?

no ideas?

bios is updated, forceware is rolled back (when its updated to 6.86 there is no internet connection at all), video driver is updated.
every time i click the GeForce 6800 GT tab in advanced settings it reboots.

anyone?
