Does the Biostar T5 XE support Xfire and sli?
the Biostar T5 XE doesnt seem to be SLI certified... however it is xFire ready
For SLI in Biostar range you would need to step up to the BIOSTAR T5 XE CFX-SLI or Tpower i55 and some other motherboards based on Intel P55, however, support SLI.
SLI support with Intel P55 chipset is possible if the motherboard manufacturer pays a royalty fee to nVidia and passes the nVidia certification program, which is the not the case with the present motherboard(T5 XE),so you will see on the market MB based on Intel P55 with and without SLI support, since the manufacturer needs to pay royalties and go thru a certification process and will surely reflect on the products price
There are modified (hacked) drivers you can get that will either enable SLi though the chipset (drivers/bios) or through modified nVidia drivers, but its not work on T5 XE and I wanna get 2 GTX 275 on my Biostar T5 XE!!!!
If we unlock CPUs, if we enable extra shaders, if we update mobos' BIOS in order to open up more raid options,so I think we can find a way to get Biostar T5 XE to run SLI
