I have an Asus A8NSli m/b and both video cards are a BFG 7800 gTX. one GPU core is hotter then the other and I just want to Identify which card belongs to which GPu temp in the nvidia drivers listing..

Is GPU 1 the top PCI-E slot or the reverse?

the issue I am having is this, I put 1 7800 on water so far till I get the other water block for it. The temos show a difference of gpu 1 is 50C and the second GPU shows 38C big difference but I am not sure if thats the one on water. I feel what seems to be more heat from the card in PCI-E slot 2

ANY HELP?

I don't think a GPU will run at 38C on air. Even my Zalman VF-700 doesn't get it that low (idles 45C)

the more heat you feel around the card, the cooler the gpu is running. it means that the heat is dissipating outwards, which is what you want. it makes sense that the 1st gpu is running hotter since there is less airflow to it.
