Got a question

On sale Today at Buy.com for $99.99 after MiR:
OCZ 2GB ( 2 x 1GB ) NVIDIA SLI Ready Edition PC2-8500 1066MHz 240-pin DDR2 Memory - OCZ2N1066SR2GK

Good deal ... the Dominator chips for $99 after MIR ... it is SLI Certified
[http://www.ocztechnology.com/p...y_edition_dual_channel

BUT will it still be ok in my Crossfire MB? ... there is "identical" RAM certified for AMD
http://www.ocztechnology.com/p...fire_certified_edition]

My MB is Gigabyte P35-DSP3

http://ati.amd.com/technology/...ire/buildyourown3.html
only mentions the Crossfire certified OCZ

--is there any REAL difference?

The Crossfire/SLI certified RAM thing is pretty much a crock. The EPP feature of SLI RAM essentially just lightly OCs some of your sub-timings, so you probably wouldn't even use that if you OC yourself.

thank-you ... after reading the marketing mumbo-jumbo, i figured it didn't make any difference
- except OCZ *paid* to have the respective manufacturers test it and put their logo on it
i do appreciate the confirmation ... it is already on the way

:)
