A friend of mine is all into gaming
and i was kinda wondering because i always buy intel chipset motherboards
so if i were to suggest him an Intel chipset motherboard with 2x 16x PCI-E does this mean he cant have his SLI?
 
Correct, only motherboards with Nvidia chipsets can run SLI.

Crossfire is still an option on Intel chipsets.
