How does one acquire an SLI Bridge? If you get it with the GPU would it be mentioned? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814133452 (I got it before the price went 50 up 2 of them). It claims Ready SLI Support.

Should I just buy something from ebay? Last time I got something from ebay I got a complete waste of a keyboard for my laptop with abysmal keys yet I did see a $3.50 from the same dreaded Hong Kong.

I am new to SLI and no you can't talk me out of it.

Thanks.

Usually a SLI bridge is supplied with a SLI compatible motherboard. What's your motherboard?

I am new to SLI and no you can't talk me out of it.

That's cute

Makes sense and if you want to try to talk me out of SLI note that I am upgrading from 3870 Crossfire Mobility (no cfx as it didn't exist yet). Turns out I just want to get as quiet of performance as can be had.

Just to second - it comes with the motherboard. SLI requires support in the motherboard. You also need SLI bridges that reach between the PCI-E layout with the motherboard so this is why it is chosen by the board manufacturer.

I am trying to decide between the ASROCK X77 Extreme4 and the ASUS Sabertooth X77, would the bridges included let me set it up 8x/8x (as I understand it this is just as fast as 16x/16x in theory) as I don't want to be stuck with 16/4.

Thanks.
