The problem with this is that you pay $10 for something that you get free by paying $50 more for a real SLI motherboard.

I don't see the sense of these- the reviews I've seen show the cobbled Nforce 4 motherboards performing significantly lower than the real SLI boards.

Who's going to want to spend what amounts to $40 less on a motherbard to get less performance on video cards that cost $400-$1100..

I can see it now: "MY 6600GT SLI would be performing at close to 6800GT levels, but I saved $40 on my motherboard so it's more like 6800NU levels for me"?

since i already modded Ultra-D to SLI,
i dont want to spent extra $$$ for REAL SLI board 😉

You must see what I mean though: if you're going to pay for two video cards, possibly a beefier powersupply, now you're going to stop $40 short of getting full performance? I don't see this as being a popular accessory.

I guess if you have the board already and don't want the work of swapping it out, but I can't see anyone buying this sort of thing new.

an nforce 4 ultra, unmodded, can run cards in sli, slower than a true SLI mobo
an nforce 4 ultra, modded, runs exactly the same as a true SLI mobo

if thats correct then you could save $40 and get the same performance. not that i would void my warranty for 40 bucks....

It runs at a slightly lower performance than an actual sli board. Don't remember why though.
