Hey all,
This is probably a stupid question, but is anyone running win2K and SLI? The reason is because I've been waiting to get a 7900GT for about a month now, and the price is actually going UP, not DOWN. (I live in Australia, and everywhere seems to sell out the same day they get them in).

Anyway, I just want to know if I can buy a cheap 6600GT on eBay and SLI it with my current one, and then wait until the 7900GT falls to a good price. But obviously, I dont want to buy it if i can utilise SLI...

According to SLI zone win2k is not supported for SLI. You have to use win XP or Linux.

I would hold out for a single 7900gt in your position rather than get a second 6600gt.

Single current gen > any last gen SLI. Go 7900.
Yeah, I know, but I wanted something that would last me another 3->6 months, until a 7900gt is a good price. At the moment, a 7900GT is six times as expensive as a used 6600gt.
