We don't see much mention of using dedicated cards for PhysX in the standard reviews, and for sure not in combination with SLi and StereoVision.
I've been meaning to test this, so I added a 9800GTX+ to my primary rig, enabled SLi, and set the 9800GTX+ as my PhysX card.
Then I forced 4X AA 16X AF/High Quality in the NVIDIA CP and played some Mirrors Edge and UT3 HeatRay.
Dedicated PhysX benches
It probably goes without saying this all looked pretty amazing. NVIDIA has given me a lot of excellent tech to review over the years, this eclipses all of it by a good margin.
Obviously the entrance cost of such a rig is high, and terms like "good value" don't necessarily apply, but there isn't anything else out there that can put you in the game like this.
In 4 days it will be one month since I've used my Dell 3007WFP-HC for gaming, and I've even considered selling it. Don't know if I can go back to 2d gaming anymore.
Graphs edited due to mistake. (they were SLi results only) Now I have SLi vs Dedicated + SLi on graphs.
