Hey.

I bought myself a new computer in november, i5 3570k, 16gig 1800mhz ram, and asus gtx670 2gig. I was always thinking about buying another 670 so i get the sli setup, but never took my time to acctually doit seeing i never acctually needed it, but now thats bf4 is comming out i want to run it maximum and i daubt it would be possible with the 670 i got right now, seeing i couldnt run everything on max with crysis 3.

So yeah my question is sli 670 or a single 770, what would be most beneficial ? ive read somewhere that sli is best for 1440p w/e didnt read my into it, but im just running a single monitor 27" 1920x1080.

What to do ? : )

sorry for grammer mistakes etc. <3

The 770 will not be an appreciable improvement to the 670. It's merely a 680 with a slight clock increase.

Be sure that your PSU can handle SLI if you decide to get a 2nd 670.

Definitely don´t get the 770, it won´t be a decent enough improvement for the money spent. SLI 670´s would definitely be quite powerful for 1440p.

did you not even look at 770 reviews? if you did then you would know its not much faster than a 670. and clock for clock a 770 is only about 4-5% faster so if both the 670 and 770 are oced then there is hardly difference at all.

NV propaganda seems to work. Get the 770, because it's so much faster than the 670.
/sarcasm

Hint: It's the same chip, it's the same card, just with higher clockable memory. However, you can clock any/most GK104 card to 7000Mhz memory speed. Diff. between 670 and 770 is pretty neglectable.

I just dont understand how people can find the forums and know what a 770 or 670 is yet not know how it performs. we have the whole internet right in front of us. lol

I thought the 770 was a fully unlocked GK104 aka the GTX 680. The 770 is a $400 beefed up version of the 680.

Two 670's > one 770.

I would SLI your 670.

But remember, the GTX 670 is a solid card, and the longer you wait, the cheaper GTX 670's may get.

If OP wanted to go SLI 670 he might as well just go for a 780.

Even two GTX 660s (not even Ti) in SLI will outperform a GTX 770 and neck&neck with a GTX 780 (and maybe even Titan?) So, yes, two 670s will be much faster than a 770.

Two 670 s will outperform titan for sure ... so get another 670 and enjoy ....

If you like single card setups then wait for maxwell ( Gtx 870 )

Since SLI has improved very much with each new generation of GPUs I'd also grab another GTX 670. This is the same setup I'm saving for. Currently running 2 GTX 460 1GB SLI.

lol sure it is. that along gtx660, gtx660ti, gtx650 ti boost, gtx860 and gtx750 ti boost have been what you were going with.
