So I understand if you have two mointors connected to one card then the card will not clock down to idle speeds.

Now what if I connected to one monitor to one card instead? Will it clock down or does having SLI enable also prevent it from clocking down?

Nothing short of disabling the second monitor will get them to downclock unfortunately That's what I resorted to. It's an issue they cannot rectify with their drivers, if they allow the cards to downclock with both connected you will get annoying flickering.

Yeap. It will downclock if you connect one monitor per card since thats what I am doing at the moment even though it aint SLi.
