Well, This is the first time I have a Clear Side Panel so I decided to pull out all the stops, rounded cables, blue leds, ext. I also wanted to do some sleeving and seeing how its my first time I bought everything I would possibly needed, even though my PSU is a PC Power and Cooling 510 ATX, Those come pre-sleeved in black. I want to sleeve my fans black as well. I have bought the Vantec Sleeving Kit, Universal Molex Remover and extra heatshrinks and sleeves... but I don't know how I could remove Female 3 Pin Connectors from my Fans without any chance of damaging it... I want it to be neat so I figured it'd turn out messy having to go over the 3 pin connectors, or is it?

If it is then how do you remove them?

Thanks in advanced

I used a jeweller's flathead screwdriver. IIRC, the pins were like little "hooks". I pushed the connector and the wires together (there's a bit of slack in the connector), pushed the metal bits that are visible through the side of the connector and then pulled the connector and wires appart. After sleeving spread the "hook" part of the metal pins and insert the wires into the connector. Just remember what order the wires were in before you pulled them out of the connector. When you hear a "click" the wires are secure within the connector.

Go to your local auto parts store and look for flexo wrap wire sleeving. It comes in 3/8" and 1/2", in Silver, white, red, blue, black and gold. It costs maybe $7 for 20 ft, and it's slit down the side so you just pull it apart and push your cable inside, then it wraps around it. No cable modding required.

I sleeve everything in my case and have used Techflex, SVC, and Vantec sleeving. Vantec's is more difficult to use as it does not expand as well to fit over cable headers. What I had to do is slide the smaller vantec sizes down over a screwdriver "shaft" to stretch it wide before using it. Make sure to use a solder iron or heated blade to cut the sleeving or it will fall apart when trying to expand it.

Slightly old pics in sig.

If you have money to spend, i HIGHLY reccomend sending everything you want sleeved to Performance PCs and have them do it. They do it very fast and for excellent prices, you will not be let down, and you get to choose the color. I made the mistake of trying to sleeve my PSU, and i ended up destroying it completely, from now on, Ill leave my sleeving to the pros!

Omg dont! lol, I did this b4 i used REAL sleeving and it looked horrible, I found no way to make this form of sleeving look neat at all, if you want it to look good, use FlexoPET expandable sleeving with no slit
