Is it worth it to sleep for an hour or an hour and a half or should I just stay up for the night.

You'll feel like crap. Run to the store and get some strong coffee and stick it out.

I'm not really that tired, I probably drank about 2 liters of mountain dew throughout the night and I know that i'll be feeling better once the sun comes out

I'm always better of sleeping for 15-20 mins instead of the whole hour.

Yeah, when it does, go stand outside for a little bit if you can. It will let your body know that it's time to be awake, lest predators come after you.... ;)

Seriously though, it'll perk your body up.

do you feel better after a 15 minute nap if you haven't slept the whole night?

I'd just stay up. I feel like absolute sh!t after sleeping that short of a time and it's damn near impossible to get myself going again.

I am in the same boat. I have the worst case of jet lag EVAR! Been like 18 days since I got home and I still can't get the body clock set. Going to stay up all night and say and get a good night's sleep. I start back to work tomorrow (Tuesday)

For me, if I sleep for the hour, I feel like dog poop when I wake up, but as the day wears on, I'm in better shape than if I would have just stayed awake.

I ended up trying to take a nap 20 minutes before the sun rose, but I slept right through my alarm only to awake an hour and a half later. I went through the day fine although I'm going to get alot of sleep tonight

I have another question though, If I can't get 7-8 hours of sleep then I stay up until I will get 5. I've found that when I wake up I'm always feel alot beter than if I sleep 6 hours. I understand that this is because of sleep cycles. My question is that is it better to go to bed as soon as I can, or are their ideal amounts of time to sleep?

Stay awake. If I sleep for only an hour I feel so out of it, just isn't worth it.

Sleep for a half an hour. That gives your body time to rest and relax a little...but anything longer than 45 minutes means your body goes into "UBERSLEEP" mode and you will feel much worse off than if you have slept for less...

Moral: Sleep for a half an hour then get up and do the work. It will do you good.

I'd rather stay up at that point then fall asleep, once it goes into sleep mode, I'll usually feel even worse than if I had stayed up. If I have to work or goto school, I'll run a very high risk of me not hearing the alarm clock, so that's no good
