Anyone have one or own one in the past? I know its a pretty dumb topic but I have a chance to get one pretty cheap and need to know if its a good bed like I've heard.

Its a 7000 King model.

my parents have one and it is nice. I don't sleep on it or anything, but it is comfortable for sure.

Only old ladies get talked into buying those things and then yell to their husband who is a few feet away "LARRY! LETS GET ONE OF THOSE!" to which larry responds "Huh?! Whaddya want now?!"
"I WANT ONE OF THOSE BEDS!"
"Alright alright call the number."

I compared one against Tempurpedic and it sucked. Just an expensive air mattress with a quiet motor.

I slept on a sleep number bed before and wasn't thrilled about it. It took me longer to fall asleep on those beds then a traditional matress.

I feel like I have to go for it. Its a steal of a price and from a reputable person. What I have now is a twin bed serta mattress and its no way even close to cutting it for me and my wife. we been wanting a new bed for awhile.

the reviews on epinions are up and down. most people are complaining of the price though, which I won't be paying nearly what they paid.

Go for it. They also have 20 year warranty on those. They are versatile especially for injuries/pregnancy.

Well, if both you and your wife have been sleeping on a twin mattress I can see why you're looking for something else. That's a little too much togetherness for me. :)

Parents got one about a year ago. I have never slept on it, but I did help them set it up. It's really is pretty nice (better than what I have), and does not cost much more than any other mattress of its quality/size and you get the bonus of the seperate settings.

Most everything is worth something at the right price. I looked into these once, but the insanely high price turned me off. The wife has slept on one before, and absolutely loved it.

I have one, mainly because nothing else would fit up my staircase. I picked up the bottom of the line bed, the 3000, then bought the foundation and legs on ebay. I've been using some foam on top of it and it works out pretty well. I need to pick up some better memory foam though. When you research the beds, you begin to realize that the only difference between them is the pieces of foam they include and the pillowtop. These are also the only things that will wear out. So I say get the cheapest one and add your own foam and/or pillowtop at your leisure. Its cheaper this way and will also be easily replaceable.

edit: to the OP, get the 7000 only if its cheaper than a new 3000. If its just cheap vs the retail price (i.e. still a grand or so), I'd avoid it.

I am shopping for a bed myself.

Interesting, even Tempur-Pedic's own study indicates that sleep number bed yield higher percentage of users enjoying deepr sleep.

got the bed. It was the king size 7000 model with pillowtop. Was 1 yr old. Has 20yr warranty with all receipts and paperwork.

I paid $2650 for the bed and a whole White Furntiture bedroom outfit. Big double mirror vanity dresser, big armoire, 2 night stands.

Defintely a very nice comfortable bed. I cannot complain one bit and the white furniture is even better. On he|| of an upgrade from my full size serta bed and thomasville furnture.

My heated mattress pad has numbers on the control pad, does that count? Seriously though, if you haven't tried a heated matress pad you are missing out on alot.
